Leanne Murray To Be Featured in Stonehill Theatre Company's Fall Production

2014 Nov 14

Leanne Murray, a member of the Class of 2017, will be playing the role of a messenger in the Stonehill Theatre Company's Fall 2014 Production of "Antigone." The play will be a modern adaptation of the classical Greek tragedy written by prolific French dramatist Jean Anouilh, who is a two-time Tony Award winner for Best Playwright.

The play, originally by Sophocles written in or before 441 BCE, explores the problem of maintaining integrity in a world based upon compromises. It is a world where decisions are pointless but must be made and only individual integrity has meaning.

Directed by Patricia H. Sankus, "Antigone" will be performed in Hemingway Theatre on the Stonehill College campus. Performance dates are Thursday, November 20th, Friday, November 21st, and Saturday, November 22nd at 8:00 p.m.
